(3rd-5th range)
Building Reading Comprehension & Vocabulary
Join me in reading Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein where we will read clues and solve puzzles all while working on our comprehension and vocabulary. In this class we will dive deep and learn to read for meaning and tackle some challenging words. Learning to Read!
(Explicit Phonics)
Learning to read well takes a lot of calculated practice. Using the highly sought after reading program "UFLI" students will be taught to read and spell using the structured literacy approach.
Learn to Read: Level 1
(Kinder- 2nd range)
In this class your child will learn to read and spelling words with blends, digraphs, and be introduced to long vowels using silent e.

Learn to Read: Level 2
(1st-3rd range)
In this class we will learn to decode and spell words with common long vowel spelling patterns. We will work on building fluency, reading stamina and comprehension skills. Most importantly, we will read and discuss good literature and work on building a love of reading!

Learn to Read: Level 3
(3rd-5th range)
Learning to read longer, more GIGANTIC multisyllabic words is challenging. I will teach your child how to recognize and correctly pronounce multisyllabic words with 2-8 word parts. Through reading passages focusing on these types of words we will build fluency, vocabulary knowledge as well as work on our comprehension skills.
Conquering Spelling
Teaching children the basics of spelling not only helps them to write clearly, but also builds a strong foundation for their education. Let's be real... We already know traditional spelling tests just do not work. Let's learn how to spell using a proven method of instruction "structured literacy" and become confident spellers. We can write the word right!
Conquering Spelling
(1st-5th range)
In this class students will master important spelling rules to increase their spelling confidence. They will also learn complicated spelling patterns and work on those tricky homophones.
Math Magic

Math Magic: Level 1
Understanding Multiplication
(2nd-4th range)
Through fun games and engaging activities, we will tackle double digit addition & subtraction with regrouping as well as multiplication and division.
Math Magic: Level 2
Building Strong Math Foundations in the Upper Grades
(3rd-5th range)
This level of Math Magic is a dynamic class designed to reinforce essential math skills for students entering 4th and 5th grades. As students move onto upper-grade math, there is more of an emphasis on math fluency and a solid foundation of number sense. Decimals and Fractions Unleashed!
(4th-5th range)
This class is all about fractions and decimals! Both of these math concepts can be tricky for students to master. Upper-grade students need a solid understanding of both of these concepts as they move into higher levels of math. This course is designed to deepen students' understanding of both decimals and fractions.
